General Designation scheme
SNR
industrial ball bearing units are defined by theinsert, housing type, and shaft diameter. The insert is described first for SNR ball bearingunit designations (e.g., “UC”). The various inserts of SNR ball bearing unitsare determined by the initial letters (e.g., “UC”) UC205 Detailed information about the different designscan be found on page 16 and 17.The first digit describes the diameter series (200 or 300) UCP205 Next is the specification of the housingtype (e.g., “P”). UCP205 UC205 The first digit describes the diameter series (200 or 300) The last two digits define the
bore. The digitsare 1/5 of the bore diameter (e.g., “04” = 20 mm, “06” = 30 mm). An exception to this are the smaller bore dia-
meters of 12 to 17 mm. UC205 UCP205 Finally, the code gives the necessaryinformation about the shaft diameter (e.g., “205” = 25 mm shaft diameter).
