Angular contact spherical plainbearings

The sphered sliding contact surfaces of angular contact spherical plain bear- ings are inclined at an angle to the bearing axis ( âž” fig ). Consequently,the bearings are particularly suitable for the accommodation of combined (radial and axial) loads. Singly mount- ed angular contact bearings can only support axial loads acting in one direc- tion. The bearings are of separable design, e.g. the rings canbe mounted separately.
