It allows the starting position of the bearing to be easily and accurately determined by applying a well-defined oil pressure inthe hydraulic nut. The correct fit is thenachieved by controlling the axial drive- up from this position. The SKF drive-up method incorpor-atesthe use of a new type of hydraulicnut fitted with a dial indicator to control the drive-up and a specially calibrated pressure gauge, mounted on the selected pump ( Mounting Page ............. 32 âž” fig ).
