8 Needle roller and cage assemblies with polyamide 6,6 cages can be used at tem- peratures up to + 120 °C. With the exceptionof a few synthetic oils and greases with asynthetic base oil, and lubricants containinga high proportion of EP additives when usedat high temperatures, the lubricants gen- erally used for rolling bearings do not have a detrimental effect on cage properties.For further information regarding the tem-perature resistance and use of cages, pleaserefer to the section “Cages” ( âž” page 22 ).For bearing arrangements which are to beoperated at continuously high temperatures or under arduous conditions, it is recom-mended that assemblies incorporating steelor sheet steel cages be used.
