The case depth which is recommendedfor raceways machined in associated com- ponents depends on various factors includ- ing the dynamic and static load ratios (P/C and P
/C respectively) as well as the corehardness, and it is difficult to generalise. Forexample, under conditions of purely staticload up to the magnitude of the basic staticload rating and with a core hardness of 350 HV, the recommended case depth is of theorder of 0,1 times the rolling element dia-meter.
