SIGNODE MD-3000-HE Operatorless Pallet Strapping Machine 2900 (3300) 1850 1000 Design, function and operation The MD-3000-HE is an operatorless strapping machine for horizontal pallet securement with polypropylene or polyester strapping. It has been designed specifically for horizontal pallet strapping operations and offers the ideal solution for a wide variety of applications. It operates fully automatically and can be easily installed alongside new or existing conveyor lines. It is mainly used in the general packaging industry to horizontally secure a wide variety of palletised products such as cartons, containers and boxes. It incorporates the most advanced technology, such as a torque drive system to move the strapping head forward, always ensuring an appropriate approach speed giving maximum protection to the product. The MD-3000-HE features Signode’s revolutionary MD strapping head which delivers excellent levels of reliability. This innovative head requires virtually no maintenance, has minimal consumable parts and an exchangeable welding module. Standard features such as easy strap load, automatic strap rewind and a quick-change strap dispenser system provide maximum machine availability and reduce downtime. The patented SUREGRIP tension winder enables high tension levels to be achieved, while Signode’s patented SWINGWELD technology also ensures high joint strength. The MD-3000-HE offers 10 strapping positions which are easily set by manually positioning reflectors on a guide rail. The strapping pattern can be varied with the display on the control desk. The MD-3000-HE is PLC controlled which can be extended for controlling optional functions and infeed/outfeed conveyor systems. CE safety certification plus numerous safety features provide full operator protection. EASY STRAP CHANGE The quick-change dispenser, plus automatic strap loading system reduces downtime and makes strap changes easy. HIGH SAFETY Torque drive systems ensure optimum approach speed towards the pallet ensuring safe operation.
