The access points serve to establish radio networks in accordance with IEEE 802.11b/g and IEEE 802.11aupto 54 Mbit/s, both at 2.4 GHz as well as at 5 GHz, in harsh industrial environments. Industrial Wireless LAN functionality can easily be added to existing LAN and WLAN networks by means of SCALANCE W-780 access points.
