Standard control panel composition FOR EACH GEN SETS IT’S FORESEEN „h N.1 Gen Sets card control and parallel manage model GC500 „h N.1 Switch for load demand: ON – OFF „h N.1 Automatic battery charge in base of the Gen Sets power „h N.1 Engine preheating power supply „h Kit of accessories to complete the furniture (relays, fuses, clips…) THE COMMON SECTION IS EQUIPPED WITH: „h N. 1 Engine stop push bottom „h N. 1 Changeover control selector switch: MAINS – AUTO – 0 – GENSET (only for emergency plant) „h N. 1 Selector switch for: IMMEDIATE LOAD SUPLLY / END OF PARALLEL (only for emergency plant) „h N. 1 Activation Plant selector switch: LOCAL – 0 – DISTANCE (only for production plant) EMERGENCY PLANT WITH AUTOMATIC PARALLELING The plant is activated by setting the proper selector switches on Automatic position. The Gen sets start at mains failure or under/over mains voltage threshold alarms. Voltage relay threshold is adjustable for amplitude and hysteresis. The Gen Sets start consent is given with 3 or more attempts each followed by pause. With automatic Gen sets activations, as the first Gen Set reaches the rated conditions, the corresponding Circuit Breaker close and synchronizing operations are activated for the second Gen set. Once synchronizing conditions are reached, the Gen Set is paralleled, closing its motorized Circuit Breaker and Mains Gen-set transfer switch go to the emergency conditions, hence the Gen sets supply the load and the load sharing line is activated. If the proper circuit is provided (optional), after an adjustable delay, the control panel provides to verify the real electric power required from the load and if a minimum number of Gen-Sets is enough to supply the load, the Gen set selected as slave is stopped. If the load increases, the system provides to restart the Gen-Set, which was in stand-by, automatically returning it in parallel to the master Gen-set. At the Mains restoring, after a settable delay to verify Main steady conditions, Gen Sets/Mains transfer switch return to normal conditions. The Gen Sets are disconnected from the loads and after a proper time delay for engines cool down are stopped. All previous parallel start and change-over operations can also be carried out manually through proper controls. PRODUCTION PLANT WITH AUTOMATIC PARALLELING When required at the same price the Control Panel can be modified to use it only for production plant. In this case the plant activation will be obtained not by a mains sensing relay but by a proper selector with possibility of local or remote starting.
