Options
Power Draw Bar System
The standard power draw bar (non-rotating actua tor design) is shown in Fig. 1 and 2.
The optional power draw bar system can be supplied with a rotating actuator for low to intermediate speeds and quick tool changing cycles (Fig. 3). This draw bar can be supplied with a compatible interface for HSK, ISO; or any optional nose design on Page 23.
All SMART SPINDLE standard draw bars are supplied with air blast, optional coolant thru, or both (see Coolant Through Design).
Coolant Through Design
During rotation, without coolant flowing toward tool, sufficient lubrication must be provided through low pressure (1.5 bar) circulation of cool­ing lubricant. During rotation, with coolant flow­ing toward tool, inlet pressure should be (80 bar max.), with a maximum flow rate of 3 liter/mm. and filtration requirement of 60pm.
When not rotating, apply (10 bar max.) air pressure to clean taper.
