ISOLOK® PROFESSIONAL SAMPLER - SERIES M4KSA INSTALLATION & OPERATION
PAGE 1 OF 9
1.0-INTRODUCTION
1.1-GENERAL. This manual covers installation and operation of the Sentry Equipment Corp (SEC) Series M4KSA ISOLOK Sanitary Sampling System. It is primarily intended for milk sampling in-process or on a receiving dock. For most accurate and reliable results, please read this manual before installing, operating or servicing your sampling equipment.
The Index Sheet identifies all of the bulletins and drawings assembled into this manual. Separate instruction bulletins cover the installation of your Sentry (SEC) cycle control and servicing of your ISOLOK sanitary sampler.
1.2-RECEIVING. Unpack all components carefully, checking each item against the packing list. Inspect all parts for shipping damage. Any damage should be immediately reported to the snipper and all claims for damage made to the shipping carrier.
2.0 - SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
2.1-SAMPLER. The standard M4KSA series sampler takes 3cc of sample per cycle. It meets sanitary construction standards and carries the 3-A symbol.
2.1.1-The sampler is powered by compressed air and is typically operated by an electrical cycle control that provides an adjustable, time-based sampling rate. Other operating mediums are available. For further information, consult Factory.
2.1.2-The sampler normally connects to the control by two 16-foot lengths of flexible
tubing, it mounts onto a 1 1/2" Tri-CIamp ferrule that is specially close-coupled to the line. This is usually provided by adding a specialized line mounting adapter tee into the piping.
2.2-CONTROL. Housed in a fiberglass enclosure, the typical control uses solid state timing to actuate a four-way solenoid valve specifications that provides a compressed air pulse to operate the sampler. Services required to the control are a source of compressed air at 40 psi minimum to 120 psi maximum, and a control operating manufacturer of power supply. See your SAMPLER CYCLE CONTROL BULLETIN for more information.
3.0 - SAMPLE COLLECTION
3.1-GENERAL. Sample collection containers should always be clean and completely dry before being reused. Sufficient industrial container should be on hand to allow thorough draining and drying before reuse. Extra bottles/containers are available from Sentry Equipment Corp.
