| | | 5.1-GENERAL. Clean and polish metal components as appropriate using a soft cloth. Avoid excessive abrasives. Refer to your professional sampler parts list drawing when reassembling your sampler. 5.2-PLUNGER SEAL REPLACEMENT. Always replace plunger seals as a complete set Roll O-rings into grooves on plunger ensuring each seal is seated in place and not twistd 5.2.1-LUBRICATION. Appry a thin film of dairy lubricant to all plunger seals. 5.3-REAR ROD SEAL REPLACEMENT. Replacing the rear rod seal (toward air cylinder) is best accomplished using a loading tool. A loader (Sentry Part Number 07022) can be purchased from Factory [SEC]; or a piece of rod (most any material) 7/8" to 15/16" in diameter can be used. | | |

| | | 5 3 1 -Lay head on bench with seal cavity facing upward. A small amount of lubricant in cavity and on rod seal will aid installation Place seal into tapered bore with spring side facing upward. Once seal is started into cavity of head, place loading tool against seal. Keeping seal and loader in line with bore of head, push straight downward with a firm continuous motion until seal snaps into groove. | | |

| | | 5 3 3- Warm seal by boiling in water for 5 minutes or use thermostatically controlled hot plate set at 180° to 200T (82° to 93°C). Insert your finger or a flat end rod of approximately same diameter as the plunger through head from the front (opposite seal groove). Start the seal at an angle into recess in head with spring side of seal facing out (toward rear of air cylinder). Tuck the seal into its recess, being careful not to kink it. Work about half the seal into groove, then professional press with your fingers to snap remainder into place. | | |
