Text version of the page
Sensortechnics' optical liquid level switches are point level sensors measuring the presence or absence of liquid. The product range offers basic devices with analog output, microprocessor TTL-compatible or PLC-compatible switches, or high power transistor output versions. Liquid level switches are available in miniature plastic polysulphone or rugged stainless steel housings for a wide range of applications.
Additionally, Sensortechnics can easily modify or customise these sensors to fit your special requirements.
• No moving parts
• Highly accurate and repeatable
• Excellent media compatibility
• Miniature size, easy to install
• Wide range of housing options
• Electronically robust

These liquid level sensors are based on ultrasonic time-of-flight measurement. The sensor emits an ultrasonic wave which is reflected at a liquid surface and echoed back to the receiving sensor. On the basis of the propagation time of the signal the height of the liquid column can be calculated.
• Non-invasive pulse echo ultrasonic technology
• Continuous level sensing of almost any fluid
• For use with chambers or fluid reservoirs of various sizes and geometries
• No media compatibility or sterility issues because of non-contacting method
• Output signal not affected by fluid colour
• Pulse-type technology offers excellent electrical noise immunity
• Customisation to any form, fit or function allows huge design flexibility
