Safe-Gard Type ATM SG-Y602M Product Description SG-Y602 conduction innerseals are one-piece products that provide a peelable, tamper-evident seal to polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, PVC, polystyrene and ABS containers. Typical Applications Typical packaging applications include innerseals used in conjunction with dispensing closures for ketchup, mustard, relish, barbecue sauce, jelly, ice cream toppings, honey, etc. Other applications include over-the-counter medications, fruit juices, milk, water, glass cleaner, etc. Resistance to specific packaged product should be determined by compatibility testing. The heat sealable surface is, in general, resistant to weak acids and bases. Swelling or solubilization of the coating may occur in the presence of some solvents. Seal Composition Nominal Thickness Metric Standard Aluminum Foil 0.038 mm 0.0015" Polyester Film 0.025 mm 0.001" Sealable Layer 0.051 mm 0.002" Composition Special Notation: Typical Physical Properties: MVTR <0.01 g/100 in²/24 h ASTM F-1249-89 Oxygen Permeability <0.01cc/100 in²/24 h ASTM D-3985 Color of facing – aluminum Regulatory Status: All components of the above mentioned innerseal are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration as indirect food additives under appropriate paragraphs of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21. A letter outlining specific FDA regulatory status is available on request. Note: For certain fatty or oily foods, such as FDA types III, IV-A, V and VII, conditions of use are limited to room temperature fill and storage(no thermal treatment in the container) or refrigerated or frozen storage(no thermal treatment in the container).
