SG-90
Product Description
SG-90 innerseal is a product that provides a tamper evident seal to PVC, polyester, and some Barex
containers. It is designed for use in plastic caps in conjunction with induction heat-sealing equipment. The
facing consists of coated polyester film bonded to aluminum foil that is commonly wax bonded to 0.035”
white-lined pulpboard.
Typical Applications
Typical applications include innerseals for over-the-counter medications and pharmaceuticals, edible oils,
peanut butter, mouthwash, and automotive products, etc.

Composition Special Notation: SG-90 innerseal can also be supplied wax bonded to .020" white-lined
pulpboard.
SG-90 innerseal is available printed with a generic or custom message.

Regulatory Status: -- All components of the above mentioned innerseal are regulated by the Food and
Drug Administration as indirect food additives under appropriate paragraphs of the Code of Federal
Regulations, Title 21. Access to the Drug Master File and a letter outlining specific FDA regulatory status
is available on request.
Storage & Handling: Wax-bonded innerseals and lined closures are heat sensitive. Transit and storage at
elevated temperatures can result in the facing separating from the backing material. It is recommended that
these products and lined closures are stored between 60-85°F (15-30°C) and 40-60% relative humidity.
Storage at temperatures outside these limits increases the possibility of bowing, curling, or separation of
