The foil has, however, been used throughout Europe for food and medical packaging for many years. Futhermore, the rolling oils used in the production of the foil meet the requirements of FDA Regulation 21CFR 178.3910. The laminate meets the requirements of the UK 'Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Regulations" 1987 Statutory Instrument Number 1523.
