Wireless Service Operation Concept
Application
Wireless access to gravimetric
feeders allows adjustments and
temporary operational interventions
to be made without the need for
direct access. These tasks can
therefore be performed even if the
scales are difficult to access physically
or if the ambient conditions are
unsuitable for a standard notebook.
Equipment
Wireless modules are installed in
each scales. These can be accessed
using a standard notebook equipped
with a Bluetooth module or a device
optimized for industrial environments,
the mobile Touch Panel, which is
also equipped with a wireless interface.
The mobile Touch Panel can
withstand a drop from a height of 1m
onto a hard surface.
The operating device can be up to
30m away from the scales, although
the maximum transmission range
depends on the ambient conditions
(electromagnetic disturbances, metallic
screenings).
Function
A scanner in the operator's software
shows all scales within its range.
Once one has been selected the
device establishes contact with it per
Bluetooth.
One of the Schenck Process configuration
software programs
EasyServe® or Disoplan® are installed
on the operating device. All of
the functions familiar from these
programs can now be used remotely.
