This portable measuring unit is ideal for random sampling for auditing purposes or for obtaining characteristic values in the laboratory. Mains-free operation enables the unit to be used for continuous on-site testing. The spring unit guarantees reproducible results with ease of operation. The calibration unit supplied with it facilitates regular monitoring of the recorded measurements. Description The unit consists of a spring unit with integral tractive force sensor and analysis unit. The door is opened manually until the tractive force is reached. The door is then closed by the spring unit and the internal micro-processor calculates the energy that was required to close the door. The bevel-angled housing with a large display on either side enables driver and passenger door to be tested from the relevant angle of view. The vehicle power supply can illuminate the display for easier reading. The readings obtained are recorded separately for each door and vehicle type.
