There is far more to this conceptthan merely supplying specificproducts. It focuses on theapplication of FAG super precision products – and thus on the customer. This focus is built on • economic efficiency • reliability • innovation. Being able to meet these claims re-quires continual contact with the customers, in order to learn about their demands and processes. This permits the selection of the most adequate product that will involve the lowest system costs. The solid basic research of FAG, its participa- tion in university research projects and its worldwide operation lay the foundations for the develop- ment of new, reliable products and their use in new and demanding applications. At first glance, the accuracy ofbearings seems to be sufficiently defined in DIN/ISO or ABEC stan- dards. Yet FAG super precision bearings go beyond this. In addi- tion to demanding tolerances to P4 or better, there are other perfor- mance features that are not cov- ered by these norms. FAG super precision bearings set standards wherever there are extreme de- mands in terms of reliability, high running accuracy and/or high speeds – whether incorporated in machine tools, auxiliary devices in the textile industry, woodworking machines or elsewhere. The com- prehensive product range permits optimum bearing arrangements for all types of locations and applica- tions. The performance of FAG su- per precision bearings in a specific application is achieved in particu- lar through close co-operation with the customer. The higher and more complex the demands, the better the super precision bearing exper- tise will come to bear that has built up in FAG application engineering over the years.
