Ordering designation
The ordering designation gives a short description of the bearing. It consists of: >
VLA 20 1094
â– the designation â– suffixes–for special bearing features only. Designation (Figure1)The designation is given in the dimension tables and describes the standard design of the bearing. The designation consists of several parts. It indicates: â– the type–four point contact bearing (V), crossed
roller bearing (X) â– the series–e.g. light series (L) â– the type of gear teeth–external teeth (A), internal teeth (I), without teeth (U) â– the dimension-specific part–rolling element diameter (D >
W ) –rolling element pitch circle diameter (D Figure 1 · Designation – example of four point contact bearing >

132 510 Suffix (Figure2)Suffixes are placed after the dimension-specific part. They indicate: â– the heat treatment applied to the gear teeth–normalised (N), quenched and tempered (V), hardened (H) >
VLA 20 1094 N ZT RL2
â– the special design–centring on the inner and outer ring (ZT)–restricted internal clearance for VL20 (RL0, 1, 2, 3)–restricted internal clearance for VS20 (RL0, 1, 2)
–preload for VL20 and VS20 (VSP). Note For
slewing rings in accordance with a drawing number (F- no.), the features Centring , Rotational resistance and Internal clearance cannot be ordered using suffixes. For these
bearings manufacturer, the F- number must also be indicated when ordering. Figure 2 · Suffix – example of four point contact bearing >
