Mein Vater, der unsere Firma gründete, arbeitete ab 1961 in der Werkzeugmaschinenbranche. 18 Jahre war er bei dem damals größten Motorenwerk Thrige Titan tätig. Rationalisierun-gen und andere Umstände führten dazu, dass die Abteilung, in der er arbeitete, geschlossen wurde. Ihm wurde jedoch angeboten, weiterhin bei Thrige Titan zu arbeiten. Er sollte zuständig sein für den Verkauf der Produkte des Unternehmens an einem anderen Ort - hätte dazu aber umziehen müssen. Die Rücksicht der Familie gegenüber und da er gern in seinem Geburtsort wohnen bleiben wollte, waren ausschlaggebend dafür, dass er seinen eigenen Betrieb gründete. 1980 gründete er Scan-tool. Später wurde es ihm möglich, KEF Motor mit dem gesamten Maschinenpark und allen Mit-arbieitern von seinem alten Arbeitgeber Thrige Titan zu erwerben. Noch später kaufte er dann die Schleif-maschinenabteilung des schwedischen Unterneh- mens ARBOGA. Jetzt hatte er die größte und beste Schleifmaschinenproduktion mit dem größten Kno- whow in Europa: Die Scantool Group.Anfang 2005 kauften wir unsere größte Konkur-renz in der Plattenbearbeitung seit 25 Jahren auf - HM Machinery A/S und HM Teknik A/S in Thisted; durch diesen Kauf hat sich unser Sortiment maßgeblich erweitert. Gleichzeitig wurden unser Knowhow und unsere Fachkenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der Plattenbearbeitung durch die Anstel- lung der wichtigsten Mitarbeiter der früheren HM Machinery nachhaltig ergänzt.Die Scantool Group besteht heute von 5 gut kon-solidierten Gesellschaften: Scantool A/S, Arboga A/S, KEF-Motor A/S, HM Machinery A/S og Scantool Group APS; alle Ge- sellschaften be nden sich im Besitz der Familie.

Later on, it became possible for him to take over KEF-Motor with all their machines and key staff from his old employer, Trige Titan. Later again, he bought the Swedish Arboga grind-ing machine division. He now owned Europe’s best expertise in the eld of grinding machine produc- tion and the Scantool Group was founded. In 2005, we bought our biggest competitors over the past 25 years - HM Machinery A/S and HM Teknik A/S in Thisted. This enlarged our pro-gramme signi cantly. At the same time, we reinforced our know how and expertise in sheet-metal processing signi - cantly when we took on the former HM Machinery’s key employees.The Scantool Group consists of ve private com-panies: Scantool A/S, Arboga A/S, KEF-Motor A/S, HM Machinery A/S og Scantool Group APS - all companies are owned by the Nielsen family. Willkommen in der Welt der Scantool Group On this page I will tell you a little about ourselves; who we are, where we are situated and what we stand for. Many of the customers who buy our machines are only aware of the brand name on the machine. Not many of them know that they are using a product manufactured by the largest and most experienced producer of grinding machines in Europe. Actually, we were the rst to develop and start up serial production of the well-known industrial belt grinders. Our experience in grinding and polishing goes way back; some of our key staff have worked with the manufacture of grinding machines for a great part of their lives. The wide range of products we market all have one thing in common - they are known for their quality and good name. We produce most of the machines ourselves, either in our factory in Brovst or in co-operation with very competent, quali ed sub suppliers in Denmark and abroad. Others are produced on a private label basis by high-quality factories abroad. These factories are specialists in their own eld and we have co-operated with them for several years. Even though we do not manufacture all machines ourselves, they are often manufactured according to our speci cations and we can guarantee the quality. My father started in this business in 1961. He was an employee at Trige Titan for 18 years. At that time, Trige Titan was a very large motor factory. As a result of rationalization and other initiatives, the division in which he worked was closed down. Even though he was offered employment with responsibility for sales elsewhere in Denmark, his consideration for his family, and the wish to remain in the area in which he was born, prompted him to start up Scantool with its own production in 1980.
