Impact Testing Machine

Description

According to the standard , a pendulum with specified energy ( mass,height & geometery ) is released to strike the specimen and causes to break it. After breaking, pendulum rises a certain height where is indicated in Joules on Machine Panel.

SIT-20 and SIT-20D Impact Test Machines have Mechanical and Digital read out, respectively. SIT-20 Series have Manual Device to release pendulums. Machine operation is very easy. The operator can test and read impact energy simply.

Charpy Anvils and Izod Anvil could install to carry out the Impact Test with different methods. Also, different pendulums installation capability permits the operator to test with desirable machine capacities. Pendulums are designed based on minimum distance between Pendulum Center of Percussion and Strike Line. This dynamic property eliminates all lateral forces during strike time in bearings and transfer all amount of pendulum's energy to the specimen.

SANTAM SIT-20 Pendulum Impact Test Series are used for brittle plastics to determine impact resistance of Standard Specimens.

Materials under Instant Load (Impact Test) may behave very different in comparison of Quasi - Static Load ( Tensile Test). Also, temperature affect in Brittle Failure so much. Impact Test is a good criterion to determine and classify brittle plastics failure behavior.
