P673Standby Power Supply

A versatile battery backed system for RTK’s Alarm Annunciators

The P673 Standby Power Supply is a set of four components whichmake up a simple and versatile battery backed power supply.The system is designed for use with RTK Engineering’s AlarmAnnunciators and consists of a stabilised variable power supply, a P607 Trip Amplifier, a blocking diode and two 12V DCbatterires.The separate component solution gives total flexibility for both powersupply size and battery capacity.This makes it possible to select any PSU size with any battery size, avoiding the problem of having to compromise on a component which may not exactly meet the systemrequirements.The P673 System is an extremely cost effective solu-tion, ideal for panel builders and system designers as these compo- nents can easily be incorporated in to the complete system package.Using the Trip Amplifier the system can be configured in two ways.Firstly, with alarm relay outputs for “loss of mains”and “low batteryvolts”.The alternative gives a “low battery volts”alarm relay outputand then also disconnects the battery when the voltage falls to low, to avoid permanent damage to the battery.
