| | | The main characteristic of the (patented) steady rest of "SLZV" series is that the rest arm can be retracted into the inside of the body so that the machining range remains free, thus permitting the feed of the work piece by means of automatic systems. The compact dimensions as well as the high positioning and repeating accuracy make this accessory the ideal tool for grinding work which can be used to support long shafts and is suitable for support during internal grinding work. | | The "SLZV" steady rest has been equipped with a (patented) system for precision centring. As a rule, the steady rest is equipped with clamping inserts made of poly-crystalline diamonds (PCD), however upon request it can also be supplied with carbide clamping inserts (WIDIA). | | |
