5. Maintenance
The level of maintenance of the clamping device determines its functionality, clamping force, accuracy and service life. Regular maintenance consists of charging the grease nip­ples (see illustration) with approx. 0.5 cm3 grease approxi­mately every 8 operating hours. A non-acidic, viscous grease with MoS2 additive should be used for this purpose.
We recommend our F90* grease in this respect. Several no-load clamping strokes should be completed after lubricating to distribute the grease applied evenly. The guides for the 3 wedge bars and 3 clamping jaws are supplied with lubricant via the grease nipples.
Blowing out:
Never blow into the jaw guides or guide slots with air.
