rEscan™ Manual Scanning

involves a trained

rEscan™ Technician

to travel on-site and perform afull longitudinal scan, condition inspection, cover profiles and life predictions of the conveyor belt. Requiring two to six hours of belt isolation, the scanning service can be carried out in one full day. A detailed report will becompiled to identify all locations of damage within your belt. An

rEscan™ Report Digital X-ray rEscan™ Splice Quality Assuranceand Radiography (Digital X-Ray)

Using the latest in digital radiography steel cord examinations,

rEscan™

iscapable of spot or full belt radiography for splice and damage evaluation.Splice Quality Assurance (QA) is provided by our experienced team using the

rEscan™

developed procedure. The combination of splice QA and Digital X-Ray allows total accountability of splice installation to enable recordable images of the final product.

The rEscan™ AIM System and Cover Thickness Monitoring

Analogue Inductive Meter (AIM)

can quickly and accurately ascertain cover thickness on steel cordconveyors. This device uses an Inductive Proximity Probe to accurately measure the thickness of rubber from the steelcord layer. Ultrasonic thickness testing is used for the measuring of fabric and solid woven belting.Once a

rEscan™ Technician

has performed at least two contiguous sets of cover profiles, a cover life predictioncan be made. Predictions are just that - a prediction based on current wear rates holding true for each givenlocation measured. In the example shown below,

rEscan™

measured the covers at the same location on two separate dates and the prediction was extrapolated.
