AUTOMATION OF INJECTION MOULDING CLIP ASSEMBLY AND SURFACE TREATMENT - FOAM APPLICATION - RLP16 - APPLICATIONS:
MACHINES ULTRA-SONIC APPLICATIONS GLUEING LASER, WATER JET, HF-SPINDLE
6-AXIS HYBRID ROBOT TYPE RVL
The 6-axis RVL with payloads between 16 and 130 kg is ideally suited to IMM automation with follow-on operations within the moulding cycle time such as assembly, quality checking and palletizing.
ADVANTAGES
■ Off-floor assembly and scalable work envelope
■ Utilization of the production surface alongside the IMM
■ Maximum flexibility with 6 axes
■ Low hall height required
RLP16-VARIANTS
Due to its precision mechanics and drives, the RLP16 portal robot is designed for precise applications. Whether for laser, water jet cutting or milling, its AC linear motor drives in axes 1 and 2 as well as the pre-ten-sioned ball spindle in axis 3 ensure maximum precision. Depending on procedure used a suitable wrist will be mounted and further options will be integrated, such as laser beam guiding or high pressure pipework.
ADVANTAGES
■ Modular design:
X - stroke: 1.000 - 4.000 mm Y - stroke: 1.000 - 2.500 mm Z - stroke: 500 - 1.000 mm
■ Applications: HF-spindle head, C02-, Nd:YAG- and Fiberlaser, Waterjet
■ Conveyor, rotary table, sliding table and manual loading possible
SINGLE-PACKAGE / TWO-PACKAGE PU FOAM APPLICATION
Application of PU foam beads to complex 3-D component geometries by means of 6-axes robots of RV series. The application is possible with upright or suspended robots. Volume dosing depending on path speed is possible. High path accuracy due to specially optimized path planning algorithms.
ADVANTAGES 1-COMPONENT
■ Low water absorption due to closed cell foam
■ Low maintenance cost
ADVANTAGES 2-COMPONENTS
■ Curing without additional external heat
■ Adjustable material features
■ Low material price
CLIP ASSEMBLY
Our many years of experience with clip assembly includes using metal and plastic clips; clip delivery via vibratory bowl feeder or continuous-feed roll; single or multiple clip assembly positions.
ADVANTAGES
■ Scalable solutions from one source
■ Automatic quality control by integrated sensors
■ Reliable automation solutions due to many years of experience
■ Cooperation with manufacturers of continuous-feed clips such as
A. Raymond
SOLUTIONS WITH ARTICULATED ARM AND LINEAR ROBOTS
The range of robots for IMM automation includes linear, articulated arm and hybrid solutions, all with a common control system and user interface.
ADVANTAGES
■ Selection of the optimum robot kinematics for the application
■ Payload ranges 6 - 300 kg
■ Turnkey solutions
Improved bonding due to various processes such as plasma, corona treatment, flaming or chemical cleaning and priming.
HIGH-PRECISION MILLING PORTAL
The high-precision milling portal RLP16-HSC with AC linear motors is used for milling of high-quality components such as decorative trim panels. The repeatability of ± 0.02 mm is obtained in a large working space of up to 10 m3.
ADVANTAGES
■ Integrated HF-spindle with 4.2 kW performance and up to 30.000 rpm
■ 700fi/s axis speed of axis 4
■ Laser sensor supported path programming
■ Direct CAM connection to 3-D volume milling
Process control supported by sensors Complete process responsibility Processing of single package/ two-package primers
The bead geometry on complex 3-D components is determined by the application nozzle, e.g. round or triangular nozzle. Workpiece or tool guiding related to application.
Delivery of the complete process chain from one source ln-house fixture production ensures high quality standard
