SkiaGraph 8™ X-Ray Camera

The SkiaGraph product line builds on a tiled configuration of RadEye100 image sensors to achieve a total active sensing area of 8" x 8" (20 x 20 cm) and larger.The SkiaGraph cameras feature low power consumption, excellent DQE, and thesame flexible readout modes as its predecessors, the Shad-o-Box and Shad-o-Snap camera product lines.The SkiaGraph8 camera is capable of real-time imaging at up to 1.3 fps, 12-bit dig-ital contrast resolution, 5 lp/mm spatial resolution and features a choice of scintil- lators providing impressive sensitivity as high as 250 ADU/mR. AGdOS (Gadox) integrated direct-contact scintillator converts x-ray photons into visible light that is sensed by the CMOS photodiodes. Analog signals from the photodiode sensors are subsequently digitized in eight parallel A/D channels and then interleaved for maximum transmission across a high-speed parallel digital interface.The SkiaGraph8 is optimized for the standard 10-50 kV energy range. An EVmodel for use with higher x-ray energies or dose rates will be available in early 2009. Several scintillator options are available. The SkiaGraph8 camera ships with a desk-top power supply and our ShadoCam software. Aframe grabber and data cable must be purchased separately. The Shad-o-Snap x-ray cameras are designed for ease of use and portability byfeaturing a plug-and-play USB interface. These microprocessor-based cameras offer simple timing control combined with new readout modes and easy image transfers as TIFF or raw integer image files. The USB connection installs in sec- onds, and built-in Windows drivers are automatically loaded to communicate with the camera. We provide a simple software interface to control the camera and acquire images. Together with a laptop computer and optional battery pack, a truly portable x-ray imaging system can be created.Several software options are available for the Shad-o-Snap cameras. TheCameraConsole application provides a simple user interface for acquiring images that can be transferred to other programs for analysis. Another option is to use our popular ShadoCam software which features full support for the Shad- o-Snap camera series (versions 2.2 and above). Finally, a TWAIN driver allows users to directly scan images into TWAIN-enabled applications such as Photoshop or Image-Pro Plus. All three programs are available free of charge! EachShad-o-Snap camera ships with a +6.5V desktop power supply, a power cord, a 5m USB cable, a manual and software. Aframe grabber isnot necessary, but a PC or laptop running Windows 2000, XPor Vista is required.

Shad-o-Box™ X-Ray Cameras Remote RadEye™ Detachable X-Ray Sensor Shad-o-Snap™ X-Ray Cameras

The Shad-o-Box x-ray camera is a high-performance, high-resolution x-ray imag-ing device designed for real-time digital radiography applications. Each camera model combines a RadEye-series x-ray sensor module with appropriate readout electronics and a 12- to 14-bit digital interface for easy connection to a PC-based frame grabber. The high-speed digital connection allows real-time imaging at frame rates up to 20fps, while the state-of-the-art CMOS technology offers superb contrast, dynamic range and resolution.Each Shad-o-Box camera is available in a low-dose, direct-coupled model that isoptimized for the 10 to 50 kV energy range, as well as an EV model that offers improved signal-to-noise ratio and longer lifetime at energies up to 160 kV. Several scintillator options are available as well. Please refer to our Application Note AN07 to help you determine which version may be best for your application. The Remote RadEye detachable x-ray sensor is designed to fit into tight spacesthat are too small to fit a complete imaging camera. The Remote RadEye sensor module is available in several different sensor sizes, and sits at the end of a detach- able cable that can reach into tiny corners. The camera electronics are mounted in a separate enclosure which can be placed up to one meter away. While designed for portable NDTapplications, the Remote RadEye can also be used in fixed instal- lations.The Remote Sensor head consists of a rugged, light-tight enclosure that is onlyslightly larger than the sensor itself. All standard versions of the RadEye1 and RadEye2 sensors are available, covering both the 10-50kV and 10-160kV energy ranges. Aspecial high-resolution sensor - the RadEye HR - is also available for use with x-rays up to 90kV. Ashielded 1m cable (or a pair of cables for the RadEye2) connects the sensor head to the electronics module, which contains either a high- speed digital frame grabber interface or a microprocessor-controlled USB interface.Please refer to our other product pages for information on RadEye sensors and theShad-o-Box or Shad-o-Snap cameras interface.
