Founded in 1997, Rad-icon Imaging Corporation is the leading provider of high-performance CMOS image sensors and cameras for the digital radiography market worldwide. Our products enable medical practitioners, create superior image quality, high resolution, and large active area images based on our CMOS active pixel sensor (APS) technology. The company’s contributions to the radiography industry include the introduction in radiography. Since then, Rad-icon’s products have addressed diverse applications such as tissue biopsy, 3D dental imaging, non-destructive testing, circuit board testing, and protein x-ray crystallography. Our customers are able to implement cost-effective and high-performance digital imaging solutions. In April 2008, Rad-icon became a division of DALSA Corporation which enables us to enhance DALSA’s product portfolio with our CMOS x-ray sensors and cameras while leveraging DALSA’s global sales reach.

Products

In 2008, Rad-icon launched the new RadEye100 sensor, with a 96µm pixel pitch and an active area of 5 x 10cm. Later in the year, the company announced the RadEye100 sensors forming a virtually seamless, high-resolution, Very Large Area (VLA) detector suitable for a variety of digital radiography applications.
