Shell Oil Coolers

The RAAL shell type oil coolers were designed in the consideration of the thermal performances increasing simultaneously with the reduction of the pressure drops, using a compact, robust and very light construction.

Technology

x The shell type oil coolers in RAAL production are made entirely of aluminium alloys by a modern brazing process using the Nocolok technology.

Dimensions

x The oil coolers are manufactured using the shell type cells made by drawing and having an wide range of types and dimensions. The distance between connections can vary between 125 and 660 mm.
x The maximum overall dimensions are 700 x 700 x 95 mm.

Advantages

x A light long-lasting construction and safety in operation;
x The solution allows the thermal and fluidodynamics performances optimization using air fins and/or turbulators with a various geometry;
x The construction allows to place the fittings on the top or on the bottom of the cooler or on the sides, under any angle;
x As working fluids, the following can be used: water, water–glycol mixture, hydraulic and transmission oils, fuels, etc. The main advantage of the RAAL shell type coolers is the modular construction and the flexibility in choosing the air fin height and type as well as the turbulator type. The following can be used:
x Different (various) fin heights: 5 .. 12 mm
x Different (various) fin pitches: 3.5 .. 8 mm
x Different (various) fin types: wavy, louvered, flat top fin
