| | | Selection procedure The diagrams have been issued in the ETD=400C condition (oil inlet 1300C and water 900C) The configuration of the channels is 1:1 The heat rejection for a plate heat exchanger with "no_of_tube" oil tubes can be determined following the steps described below: 1. first determine the water flow rate per tube ( water_flow / (no_of_tube+1) ) 2. second determine the oil flow rate per tube ( oil_flow / no_of_tube ) 3. from the chart select the equivalence heat rejection per tube 4. multiply the heat rejection with the no. of oil tubes (heat x no_of_tube) to give the actual heat rejection. | | |
