Installing
These units can be installed in any orientation, that is, vertically or horizontally. The only one limitation is given by the need to drain the cooler after installing. The draining of the cooler might be necessary in order to prevent damaging the unit in the case of temperatures under the freezing point.
Filtering
A filter must be mounted before the water/oil/air inlet into the cooler, in order to protect the unit from contamination. Cleaning
In the case of applications where the fouling risk is high (e.g. in the case of use of mineralized water), it is possible to clean the cooler by re-circulating a clean liquid (e.g. water). The optimum cleaning water flow rate is for a water flow of 1.5 times higher than the nominal flow rate.
Due to the types, dimensions and structure variety of these coolers, RAAL is at your disposal for the sizing of an oil cooler proper with your application.
Please don't hesitate to contact RAAL for any further information !
