Text version of the page
The RAAL plate and bar coolers main quality is the modular construction and the flexibility in choosing the turbulator and air fin type. Plate and bar coolers allows thermal performances and fluidodynamic characteristics optimization by using air fins and/or turbulators with different geometry. The turbulator positioning can be done for medium or high turbulence, taking into account the application’s requests (heat rejection, oil flows and pressure drops). The turbulator positioning way has a significant influence on the coolers performances. Medium turbulence orientation High turbulence orientation Oil cooler core components standard values (mm) Fin height 5; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; Pitch 3; 3.5; 4; 4.5; 5;5.5; 6; 6.5; 7; 8; Fin type Wavy, louvered, flat top fin Channel height 1.6; 2.2; 3.2; 3.8; 4.9 with or without turbulator The connection type can be chosen taking into account the application: BSP (G), Metric (M), JIC (AN), SAE (O-ring), SAE flanges, NPT, etc. The mounting solutions can be made taking into account the customer’s requirements. Choose such product if: x you have hard working conditions, high pressures and temperatures x you want safe exploitation x you need an increased heat rejection vs. the cooler’s weight.
x you want a good price/quality ratio.
