Each input is individually monitored for open and short circuits. Inputs and power supplies are short-circuit proof and intrinsically safe. The power supply for 4-wire transmitters is provided by an external voltage source. The interface of the Analog Input Module with the internal data bus of the BusRail is designed with redundancy.
