The standardized Q-DAS >
® database systemfacilitates the exchange of quality information,
regardless of which supplier of Measurement,
Test and Assembly system is used and evenbridges the gap between competitive suppliersystems. In addition the Q-DAS >
® ASCIItransfer format and the Quality MarkupLanguage (QML) provide a standardizedprotocol for
data collection from TierSuppliers of component parts. Certifiedsupplier interfaces allow for easy transfer of
data and integration of a wide range of
measuring systems. Specific supplierreferences can be found at www .q- das.com . >

SSESSING
Real-time visualization and the control ofquality data, close to the origin of production, allows for direct identification of significantchanges and fast access for correctingmeasures. Programmable levels of OperatorInteraction with the process data makes itpossible to filter out erroneous measurementsand to comment on the collected data withEvents, Causes and Corrective Actions. Thisresults in a higher quality of measurementdata and the continuous control minimizes
the risk for defective parts and brings aboutcost savings. >

ANAGING
Centrally located data centers control andmanage Gauge Control Plans, distributing them
as needed to the local shop floor systems.Control Plan requirements, such as, frequencyof measurement are communicated to theright shop floor system at the right time as aprompt for the operator to measure the part. The recorded process measurements areautomatically synchronized back to the CentralDatabase, providing a centralized view of theentire manufacturing process. Gauge Controland Test plans can now be Synchronized with
large management systems such as SAP >

VALUATING
Statistics are an important component fordecisions regarding process continuousimprovement. Q-DAS >
® Evaluation methodsprovide the right analysis technique withautomatic evaluation of the quality data based
on International Norms and CompanySpecifications. Q-DAS >
® is unique in the Worldtoday with our ability to provide a completelyautomatic analysis by means of selectable„Configuration of Evaluation“ setups. Specialmeasured features such as, True Positions andUnilateral Tolerance features like Profiles are
correctly evaluated using our uniqueevaluation techniques. >

EPORTING
The presentation of evaluation results in reportsis an important element in the chain ofcontinuous process improvement. Reports canbe created Ad Hoc or at defined intervals toprovide specified users with the relevantprocess information. Event or alarm triggered
reports inform the user of violation ofpredetermined requirements. With theindustries increased emphasis on agile systems, flexible reporting is a critical component to theunderstanding of process variation. Compacted
Management/Executive Review reports andmore detailed Reports for operators provide theright details at the right level of operations. >

According to plant specific requirements, Q-DAS >
® Data Archiving Utilities can automatically
compress large sums of raw measured valuesinto calculated statistical values and reports. TheCustomer is able to select which statisticalparameters and reports are calculated based ontime and process stream with the raw measuredvalues spooled off for archiving (easily retrievedshould they be needed for further detailedanalysis) or completely deleted. Compacted datahelps the user visualize changes in the process
over an extended period of time. >
