The colored horizontal bars represent Jobs. The bars under the Job to Mach button represent Jobs currently onthe floor (they may be running or “queued up”). The blue bars ( Cap400) represent Jobs that are waiting to run. Tosee more detail on any Job you can expand or contract the time base.
The open area is the In the To Go column is displayed the actual Hours To Go and an easy-to-understand color coded status :
How can you “test” a schedule change before you commit? >
Hours to go greater than 8 ( Cap450 on Machine 940 has 91.5 hours to run) Hours to go between 2 and 8
Hours to go less than 2 Unassigned Jobs “bull pen”. It holds Jobs waiting to be assigned to a Machine. To start aJob, click and drag it onto a machine in the Queue. You can also pull Jobs off the Queue and put them into the bullpen. The Operator can call down the next job in the Queue with key entry at the MDT-40 and MDT-150 Or, usinga
bar code reader, he can scan a Job Ticket/Work Order and Job will be entered automatically. Simply “drag and drop” a Job from machine or the bullpen to the new location. Until you save it, the moved Jobwill be all red (signifying it’s only a tentative change), and if it has a yellow and red band around it, the Job won’t
meet the required schedule or there may be conflict with the tool which may be scheduled to run on anothermachine. In the example above we’ve put Job 1234 onto Machine 930 to see if it will complete on time. (Itwon’t because it is outlined in red and yellow. Additionally, it looks different than other late jobs because it
is highlighted with dashed lines to indicate it is the job that is currently selected to be “tested” or moved) .If a running Job won’t meet the required due date, the Job (in example above-- Cap400 ) will be outlined in solidyellow and red. When you have found the best fit for your jobs, click the Save All button to change the scheduleor the Undo button will return the Job Queue to original state. >
