AUTOMATED OPTICAL REGISTRATION
Cut-to-print accuracy is diffi cult to achieve with large, multicavity dies on a mechanical press
because it is diffi cult to compensate for print distortion when cutting an entire sheet, due
to variable screen stretch and substrate distortion during the ink curing process.
A die with fewer cavities can be used with a Preco high speed system. This will
produce the same or greater amount of fi nished parts with less die costs, reduce
setup and make-ready times and provide greater accuracy and fewer part rejects.
Patented Floating Bolster allows tooling to move into exact position
prior to activating press stroke in X-Y and X-Y-Ř registration systems.

CCD MACHINE VISION REGISTRATION FIDUCIALS
