Shock Absorbers

Shock absorbers for 5/8" bore slides can absorb up to 20 in-lbs per cycle with a max shock force of 160 lbs. Shock absorbers for 1" bore slides and larger are adjustable to accommodate impact velocities from 1 to 11 ft/ sec with a maximum shock force of 200 lbs. They can dissipate up to 50 in-lbs of energy per cycle. Allow for additional travel on all shock absorbers to prevent them from bottoming out.

When used on the front (option letter "F") with 1" bore slides only, the fully retracted gap (dimension "C") is increased as shown. However, the total amount of usable stroke is unchanged.

When used on the front (option letter "F") with 1" bore slides only, the fully retracted gap (dimension "C") is increased and a special mounting bracket is used (see above for bracket). However, the total amount of usable stroke is unchanged. The rear shock absorber mounts to the rear gantry plate. Dimensions here apply to the Gantry axis. Refer to above for free axis.
