Why Choose PPC Coatings? At PPC, our advanced ion-beam sputtering (IBS) technol-ogy is a repeatable and controllable process that results in dense, durable, high-damage-threshold thin films. Since the materials are directly sputtered onto the sub- strate, the process can be precisely controlled and easily automated so that films can be deposited with extremely high accuracy and repeatability.Unlike conventional evaporative and ion-assisted films that have porous microstructures, IBS films have extremely densely packed structures that make them im- pervious to water vapor. Consequently, our IBS coatings are completely insensitive to changes in environmental conditions such as heat, humidity and pressure.
