This eliminates the use of motion feed throughs that generate particulates.Since the stepper motor is relatively simple in design, it can be adapted to operate in extreme physical environments with a few modifications. Under normal conditions, only the bearings are subject to wear.For extreme environment applications, special windings, bearings and lubricants are used, as well as special insulating material and special adhesive.To accomodate most extreme environmental conditions, Phytron VSS/VSH stepper motors are provided in different grades.
