Power stages ZSX MICRO Microstep Power Stage with Setting Switches Technical Information ZSX / 07-2 GB Microstep stepper motor power stage for bipolar control of two-phase stepper motors with 4-, 6- or 8-leads 2 versions: ZSX MICRO 43-40: 3.5 A , 40 V ZSX MICRO 93-70: 9 APEAK, 70 V Run, stop, Boost current independently adjustable in 16 increments Supply voltage: 24 VDC to 70 VDC Step resolution: 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/5, 1/8, 1/10, 1/20, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128, 1/256 of a Full step Push-pull inputs: Control pulses, Motor direction, Boost, Activation, Reset Error output: Open-Collector-Darlington Plug-in board in Europe size for mounting in standard 19"/3U racks PEAK Operator’s control Microstep In ZSX MICRO the step resolution can be set by a rotary switch up to 1/256 of a full step (Microstep): 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/5, 1/8, 1/10, 1/20, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128, 1/256 of a full step. The Microstep mode offers the following advantages: The torque undulation drops, when the number of microsteps is increased. Resonance and overshoot phenomena are greatly reduced. The motor operation is almost resonance-free. The motor noise also drops, when the number of microsteps is increased. The ZSX Stepper Motor Power Stage ZSX MICRO 256 is a power stage for bipolar control of 2-phase stepper motors, available in 2 versions: 3.5 APEAK and 40 V or 9 APEAK and 70 V motor voltage. Run, stop and Boost current can be set by rotary switches. The ZSX power stage can compensate the phase current decrease in the upper speed range independently of the motor by the Overdrive function. DC voltage from 24 to 70 VDC is necessary for supply. ZSX MICRO is designed on a plug-in board: Europe size 100 x 160 mm. The power stages with 8 HP width (40.3 mm) can be mounted in 19''/3 U racks.
