NEWNanopositioning Controllers - 13949 E-625Compact LVPZT Piezo Amplifier & Servo-Controller with High-Speed RS-232 InterfaceWave Table Software / GCS Command Set User-defined data-points, cal-culated with any arbitrary func- tion, can be stored in a wave table in the E-625 for later out- put under control of an exter- nal trigger. The E-625 controller comeswith Windows™ installation software, DLLs and Lab View™ drivers. The command struc- ture of the extensive command set is based on the PI GeneralCommand Set (GCS). The GCSwas developed by PI to facili- tate the programming and operation of a wide range of different devices with a com- mon command language, thusreducing the programming effort in the face of complexmulti-axis positioning tasks. Itis also supported by the E-516 Computer Interface Module, and most PI nanopositioning controllers and motor con- trollers. For more information on GCS, see p. 9-28.Ordering Information E-625.SR LVPZT Piezo Amplifier & Servo-Controller, Strain Gauge Sensor, RS-232 Interface E-625.LR LVPZT Piezo Amplifier & Servo- Controller, LVDT Sensor, RS-232 Interface E-625.CR LVPZT Piezo Amplifier & Servo- Controller, Capacitive Sensor, RS-232 E-625.CN Network Cable for Connecting two E-625s E-625.SR (left) and E-625.CR compact piezo servo-controllers. Integrated 20-Bit High-Speed RS-232 Interface Network Capability with up to 4 Channels For Capacitive, LVDT and Strain Gauge Position Sensors Wave Table for User-Defined Curves GCS (General Command Set) Compatible New and FastCommunications Interface The E-625 is a bench-top piezolinear amplifier and position servo controller with integrated high-speed RS-232 computerinterface and 20-bit D/A con-verters. The low-noise amplifi- er can supply/sink a peak cur- rent of 140 mA in a voltage range of -20 to 120 V. Versions are available to operate withSGS, LVDT or capacitive posi-tion sensors, making the servo- controller suitable for a wide variety of PI piezo actuators and nanopositioning stages. The RS-232 interface handlesthe communications with the outside world. It performs up to 300 highly deterministic read or write operations per second and incorporates precision 20-bit D/A and A/D converters forexceptional positional stability and resolution. Multi-Axis Network Up to four E-625s with anycombination of capacitive, SGS and LVDT sensors can be net-worked and controlled over asingle RS-232 connection. Between the individual E-625s, parallel networking with op- tional E-625.CN cables is used providing higher data rates than possible with serial links.
