For most PI piezo actuators and nanoposition-ing systems more than oneamplifier/controller combina- tion is available. The best choice depends on the re- quirements of the particular application. For low dynamicsapplications, a high-powercontroller is not necessary and in many OEM applications, compact PCB versions are pre- ferable to the 19" modular units.
