Professional interface DIN-Professional rail Housing Catalogue What is new? What is important?

The directive 94/9/EU (ATEX 95) differs from previous documentation in its approach to capacitance and thus in the resulting permissible professional cable lengths in the hazardous area. In consideration of our customers, we have taken stock of this change and in the course of the new product approvals it will be seen that the maximum no-load voltages of several devices have been slightly reduced. Therefore, when the need arises, existing plants can be equipped with ATEX-approved devices without impermissible cable lengths resulting from the peculiarities of the plant when the intrinsic safety is demonstrated. The device data sheets are identified accordingly.
