Pepperl+Fuchs documentation and training
The first steps towards entering the area of explosion protection are certainly difficult. The Pepperl+Fuchs video provides first information about explosion protection. It is used as a teaching aid at the Pepperl+Fuchs seminars on intrinsic safety. Part 1 of the video provides an overview of the ignition protection classes by means of the IEC standards. Apart from the relevant European standards, also the ATEX directives 95 and 137 and the regulation of industrial safety apply in Europe. It deals with worldwide explosion protection under the IECEx scheme as well as the special North American requirements of NEC article 500 and the classification into classes and sub-divisions. Furthermore, dust explosion protection and non-electrical explosion protection were included.Part 2 of the video deals in detail with intrinsic safety including information on the installation of intrinsically safe circuits and on proof of intrinsic safety. The subject of installations in zone 2 is touched upon briefly. Fielbus systems for
industrial process automation within hazardous areas with FISCO and FNICO are presented. It is available on DVD in German and English and can be used worldwide in order to provide the user with the required introduction to explosion protection in the most simple way possible. >

CD-ROM catalogue The Pepperl+Fuchs CD-ROM catalogue PA contains the data sheets and information for Process Automation and Pepperl+Fuchs. A product search can be initiated either by a search tree or by model number. In the Process Automation menu intrinsic safety products can be accessed and in the level control menu, data sheets for liquid level monitoring can be found. The training menu accesses the instructional seminar program and teachware offered by Pepperl+Fuchs. Training packages Pepperl+Fuchs offers instructional
professional cases and extended assembly kits for training on
detection and the AS-Interface. Seminars Other seminars offered by Pepperl+Fuchs: Preventing Explosions with Intrinsic SafetyLevel ControlSignal Conditioners for Process Automation The seminars take place periodically at Pepperl+Fuchs, "The House of Technology (e.V.)" in Essen, Berlin and Munich, or on customer request.
