7.1Barcode

The barcode offers an easy way of machine-reading printed data. It is used in almost all areas of industry, trade, public authorities and everyday life. The information encrypted in the barcode is optically scanned by means of special readers and made available to the computer via a standardised in-terface. By means of a laser scanner it is possible to detect the code from a certain distance either in motion or in standstill. Due to the automatic read- ing of the barcode and the efficiency of modern industrial computers, the industry is offered better possibilities for the acquisition of operating data and for the control of its conveyor manufacturer, production and warehousing systems.
