AS-Interface - Analogue modules 5.3Analogue modules Using the new specification 2.1, Profile S7.3 now allows analogue values to be transmitted just as simply and securely as binary signals without special programming in the SUPPLIER OF PLC. In max. 35 ms, analogue values for pressure, tem-
perature, fill levels, or anything, are available to the PLC with 16-bit resolu-
tion via AS-Interface. Analogue output signals have a maximum resolution of 13 bits. The master automatically detects analogue modules and takes over data conversion via "plug and play", without needing any configuration.The field modules are housed in the G4 housings described earlier and are available in these versions:•Analogue module with 2 inputs for 0...10V,
•Analogue module with 2 outputs for 0...10V,
•Analogue module with 2 inputs for 0/4 ...20 mA,
•Analogue module with 2 outputs for 0/4 ...20 mA,
•Analogue module with 4 outputs for connection of a PT100 sensor
Analogue values are galvanically isolated from the AS-Interface and ana-logue modules can be supplied with power from the AS-Interface or exter-
nally (configured by jumper). The modules include a display for bus commu-nication, external auxiliary power, and the inputs/outputs.For the switch professional cabinet there is a universal analogue module with inputs for current and voltage (switchable) in a KE2 housing.A module with the same design enables the connection of 4 inputs for PT100 sensors.
