General specifications

The VAA-4A-G6-E2 is an AS-Interface com-pact module with 4 current sourcing outputs.Each output can be loaded to 24VDC and 0.5A. Its particularly flat and narrow design makesthe IP67 compact module particularly suita-ble for applications in handling machines,professional robots etc. To achieve this protection class,the entire electronics were encapsulated.This module has the further advantage that itmay be mounted in any position.The connection to the AS-interface cable is established via an M12x1 quick disconnect.Please refer to the technical data for the pin-assignments. An advantage of this connec-tion is that it does not require a separatebase. Address configuration can also be car-ried out using a standard cable with M12x1screw connections. Connection to the suppliers of actuators is provided viaM8x1 screw connections. The current switching state of each channel is indicatedby an LED. The LEDs are well visible on themodule's top side. The voltages of the AS- Interface and of the external power supplyare also indicated by an LED each.
