General specifications

The VAA-4E-G6-ZE is an AS-Interface com-pact module with 4inputs. Mechanical con-tacts and 2- and 3-wire sensors can be connected to the inputs.Its particularly flat and narrow design makesthe IP67 compact module especially suitablefor applications in handling machines, robotsetc. To achieve this protection class, it fea-tures completely encapsulated electronics.The module has the further advantage that itcan be mounted in any position.The connection to the AS-Interface cable is established via an M12x1 quick disconnect.Please refer to the technical data for the pinassignments. An advantage of this connec-tion is that a separate base is not required.Address configuration may also be carriedout using a standard cable with M12x1quick disconnects.Sensors attach to M8x1 quick disconnects.The current switching state of each channel is indicated by an LED, located on the mod-ule's top side. The voltages of the AS-Inter-face and of the external manufacturers of power supply are also indicated by an LED each.
