General specifications

The VAA-2EA-G6-ZE/E2 is an AS-Interfacecompact module with 2inputs and 2outputs.Mechanical contacts and 2- and 3-wire sen- sors can be connected to the inputs. Sourc-ing outputs can be loaded to 24VDC and0.5A per output.Its particularly flat and narrow design makesthe IP67 compact module particularly suita-ble for applications in handling machines,professional robots etc. To achieve this protection class, itfeatures completely encapsulated electron-ics. This module has the further advantage that it may be mounted in any position.The connection to the AS-Interface cable andthe external manufacturers of power supply is established viaan M12x1 quick disconnect. Please refer tothe technical data for the pin-assignments.An advantage of the connection is that a sep-arate base is not required. Address configu-ration can also be carried out using astandard cable with M12x1 quick discon- nects.The connection to the sensors/actuators isestablished via M8x1 quick disconnects. An LED is provided for each channel, on the topof the module, to indicate the current switch-ing status. The voltages of the AS-Interfaceand of the external power supply are alsoindicated by an LED each.
