General specifications

The VAA-2EA-G4-ZE/E2 is an AS-Interfacecoupling module with two inputs and two out-puts. Mechanical contacts and 2- and 3-wire sensors can be connected to the inputs.Thesensors are supplied via the module. Theoutputs are electronic outputs, which can beloaded to 24VDC and 1.5A per output (totalload <4A).The G4 module in IP67 is especially suitablefor rough conditions. The connection to sen-sors and industrial actuators is established via cableglands and cage tension professional spring terminals thus making the installation especially user-friendly. For pre-addressing the module, itcan be directly plugged onto the adapter ofthe VBP-HH1 handheld programming device.An LED is provided for each channel, on thetop of the module, to indicate the currentswitching status. In the case of communica-tion errors on the bus, the outputs are de-energised via an integrated watchdog, which can be disabled by the P0 parameter bit.The AS-Interface transmission cable and theexternal 24VDC supply can be connected through flat ropes or round professional cables. Use theU-G1FF for the AS-Interface flat cable. Theconnection to both cables is establishedusing the AS-Interface standardised EEMSinterface, i.e. the cable piercing method.Use the U-G1PP base for a round cable. TheU-G1PP base allows the AS-Interface-cableas well as the external power source to beconnected.
